Senior IT Manager (m/f/d)

Versatile tasks that will challenge you As a Senior IT Manager (m/f/d) with a focus on IT architecture, you will play a key strategic role in the design and further development of the IT architecture and system landscape within the Bavarian ÖGD. The focus of your tasks will be on IT service management, team management and the technical design of IT architectures. Providing IT advice to departmental and divisional management and specialist departments on current technological developments and their impact with subsequent independent creation of IT concepts
IT consulting for the department or division management in the design of a future-proof IT architecture in line with the business objectives of the ÖGD; this includes defining architecture standards and monitoring compliance with them, requirement engineering (recording actual processes and converting them into target processes in accordance with the IT architecture) and ensuring the scalability, performance and security of the IT systems
Instructing and, if necessary, managing external and internal IT service providers in the implementation and further development of the IT architecture in the ÖGD; this also includes researching specifications and technical requirements, guidelines, e.g. with regard to IT security, data protection and new technologies, as well as evaluating their integration into the existing IT landscape within the ÖGD
Planning, design, further development and optimization of the IT system landscape including applications, data management, system migrations and IT infrastructure within the framework of the ÖGD
Consulting on the implementation of IT projects in close cooperation with internal departments and internal and external IT service providers as well as managing and supporting interdisciplinary teams
Participation in the acquisition of funding for the implementation and continuation of the designed IT projects
Regular collaboration - both virtually and on site - with representatives of other authorities (e.g. the digitization department of the Bavarian State Ministry of Health, Care and Prevention, the IT-DLZ, the State Office for Information Security, etc.)
Several years of experience in the development and implementation of IT architectures, ideally in a senior IT position in public administration and/or the healthcare sector
Comprehensive knowledge of German (at least language level B2 according to CEFR)
You have extensive experience in IT architecture and the ability to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. In-depth knowledge of modern technologies such as cloud computing, Kubernetes and API design, IT security architectures and zero trust principles
Experience in project management and fundraising
Experience in IT audits, reporting and providing evidence
Experience in managing and developing IT teams
IT architecture (e.g. IT security, e.g. BSI basic protection and/or ISO27001/02, as well as data protection
