About the Role : We are looking for a self-driven and highly motivated Procurement Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for an individual who can work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of their tasks and targets. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring that procurement goals are met efficiently and effectively. Reporting to the manager, you will receive clear direction and targets, and it will be up to you to execute and drive results autonomously. Key Responsibilities : Strategic Sourcing: Develop, coordinate and implement product group sourcing strategies in a cross-functional team Supplier Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers across Europe, including regular visits and communication to ensure effective partnerships. Supplier Onboarding : Identify and onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards and expectations. Negotiation : Negotiate pricing, payment terms, marketing contributions, and other relevant contractual terms with suppliers. Trade Show Representation : Attend trade shows to discover new suppliers, trends, and market opportunities. Supplier Base Management : Maintain a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring they meet the company’s needs for quality, cost, and delivery. Collaboration : Work closely with the procurement team across Europe (including teams in Sweden, Poland, Germany, and Slovakia), ensuring seamless coordination and communication across regions. Target Achievement : Consistently meet procurement targets set by management and deliver results on time. Required Skills and Experience : Previous experience in a procurement role, ideally within an industrial product sector (though not essential). Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex supplier negotiations around pricing, terms, and conditions. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative to drive progress. Excellent communication and relationship management skills to work effectively with suppliers across Europe. Experience working with suppliers across multiple regions (preferably within Europe). Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects simultaneously. Preferred : Experience in buying industrial products is an advantage but not a requirement. Familiarity with procurement processes, supplier evaluations, and cost-saving initiatives.
