Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is Vestas's integrated CTO and COO organisation. It covers the entire industrial system, from Technology to Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality. VTO aims to transform how Vestas engineers, contracts, sources, manufactures, and supplies products to meet quality, cost, and time expectations.
VTO interfaces with Vestas' regional business units through its Frontend Engineering & Technology (FE&T) organization, which consists of Regional Engineering & Technology (RE&T) functions led by Regional CTOs and Global Functional Leads. The FE&T organization is responsible for technical frontend responsibilities in regional business units, covering Technical Development Solutions, Sustainable Energy Solutions, onshore and offshore wind power plant solutions, and services.
The organisation represents Vestas Technology in the regions, collaborating with regional Vestas teams, Sales & Customer Project Execution teams, Service and Development colleagues, and external technical stakeholders such as customers, external engineers, transmission system operators, regulators, and other authorities. FE&T ensures functional excellence, operates as a global centre of excellence and ensures a standardised way of working globally.
Responsibilities
* Represent the voice of the region NCE across technical and commercial elements in the internal product governance
* Guide the product market strategy team in NCE
* Map and assess market need use cases in short and mid-term horizons
* Define the regional market roadmap by identifying gaps and opportunities, prioritizing across WTG, Plant, ONS/OFS, and New Business, and outlining key deliverables needed for an effective market entry in planned roadmap releases
* Conduct regional evaluations and approve roadmap opportunities to support the global market roadmap and the definition of global Market Asks/BRDs, including final reviews, while benchmarking Vestas' regional competitiveness, technical specifications, and offerings against competitors across core strategic themes
* Facilitate Regional Product Market Roundtables and prepare regional representation at the Market Ownership Team (MAT)
* Engage external customers to discuss and refine the short-to-mid-term needs while orchestrating participation and lobbying in key working groups to shape and inform the regional market roadmap
* Collaborate closely with interfacing functions to ensure full coverage of commercial and technical opportunities across the entire value chain of a product
Qualifications
* M.Sc. in a relevant field of engineering and experience in commercial assessments or equivalent
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in product management or a related field within the wind industry
* Advanced presentation skills with the ability and confidence to present to senior management internally & externally
* Fluent in written and verbal English
Competencies
Holistic understanding of key technical, commercial and value chain aspects of Vestas' and our customer's business drivers and the market environment, including market dynamics and regulatory requirements. In addition:
* Experience in project and product optimisation
* The enthusiasm and ability to guide, inspire, and develop a diverse and distributed team of colleagues
* Ability to collaborate internationally with diverse stakeholders across functions and different organisations
* Project management and communication skills to ensure continuous understanding of expectations, performance goals, and progress in a global business
* Organisational skills, including experience with implementing processes for new ways of working
* An emphasis on simplicity

The primary work location is Hamburg, Germany or Aarhus, Denmark.
