HSE SPECIALIST – Leader Chemical Manufacturing Company

For our client, we are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSE Specialist to join the team. In this full-time role, you will provide essential support to our operations, ensuring that all practices comply with state and national regulatory requirements. You will coordinate regulatory environmental programs and manage any permitting requirements, playing a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
1. lead the planning and conducting of periodical HSE inspections and follow-up on the findings
2. lead the ensuring that suitable PPE are available to employees and correctly used
3. lead the planning and supervision of HSE monitoring activities by 3rd party labs
4. lead the promotion of reporting, investigation and follow-up of environmental incidents and industrial injuries
5. lead the ensuring that special operation certificates are available and up to date for all special operations (internal and external workers)
6. lead the identification of environmental factors and environmental impact assessments, occupational health and safety hazards and risk assessment
7. lead the management and on-site supervision of contractors and other external parties
8. lead monthly HSE KPIs and annual GRI reporting activities, periodical HSE performance reviews and follow-up actions
9. propose and lead HSE continuous improvement projects
10. support and assist the planning, development, presentation and documentation of HSE trainings
11. support and assist in administering LOTO, Hazard Communication, Confined Space, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection,Tow Motor, Fall Protection, etc.
12. support the preparation of internal and external HSE reports as required
13. support the collection, evaluation and enforcement of applicable HSE laws and regulations, as well as stakeholders’ HSE needs and expectations
14. support/Observe internal, 2nd party and 3rd party HSE audits
Qualifications
15. University Degree (Technical background, Environmental or Safety engineering is preferred)
16. 1-3 years experience in a HSE role in manufacturing industries (no services)
17. excellent communication skills in English and German
