As a premium provider of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG), the Nordic energy company Gasum is working with maritime operators in switching from conventional fuels into LNG and LBG. LNG is the cleanest maritime fuel available and as a renewable fuel LBG is the future of carbon-neutral transport at sea. By offering a variety of sustainable and efficient services and solutions to our customers we support them in optimising their operations for cleaner maritime transport. We’re now looking for a Sales Manager based in our Hamburg office. The Bunker Desk Sales Manager focus on the spot market/customers and promotes maritime sales with both short- and long-term customer acquisition and sales activities to ensure business growth. The sales manager actively manages the customer accounts assigned to the role with focus on customer satisfaction and Gasum profitability from a strategic point of view. The sales manager will also have an active role in strategy related functions, such as project- manager/owner roles. The sales manager is to play an active role in the business development and growth of the Gasum maritime business. Your main responsibilities will be: Identifying and approaching prospects on the phone Traveling to meet them face to face Initiating cross sales within the group where applicable Managing the accounts in CRM and in other applications Develop LNG business opportunities into sales contracts Representing the firm at various maritime fairs/conferences Support the maritime team colleagues when needed. Take an active role in developing the ways of working in the maritime team Be in close contact/dialogue with relevant internal stakeholders for ensuring compliance and coordinated sales with the organisation’s profitability in focus What We Expect From You: A degree level qualification would be put any candidate at an advantage when applying. So is proficiency in English and crucially German. Basic computer skills (Word / Excel/ the ability to operate CRM systems) are also qualifying important.
