KWS Berlin GmbH is looking for an experienced Senior Controller (m/f/d) to strengthen our Controlling team within the Global Transaction Center (GTC) and to take ownership of key finance processes, ensure cost efficiency, and drive financial transparency across our global operations.
This position is unlimited and in full-time.
Your Impact & Responsibilities:
1. You act as an Subject Matter Expert in controlling, providing operational, technical and strategic guidance to the team.
2. You support defining the team strategy along with a roadmap (improvements, projects, developments etc.) that alignes with broader company goals.
3. You take ownership of controlling processes (cost allocation, intercompany invoicing, transfer pricing, and profitability analysis) and ensure end-to-end process execution across business units and regions.
4. You document business processes and process changes (from a functional perspective), identify optimization opportunities, and drive automation where possible.
5. You actively engage in change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. You facilitate the creation of a framework for service delivery and the steering of a KPI-based work model, to ensure data-driven decision-making.
7. You lead the operational and functional knowledge transfer and best-practice sharing, ensuring a high level of expertise within the team.
8. You support onboarding and mentoring of new team members and participate in employee assessments and end-of-probation meetings.
9. You play a key role in driving forward digital transformation initiatives and ERP migrations (SAP S/4HANA).
10. You work closely with global controlling, finance, and business units to align processes and you foster a collaborative environment that encourages the cross-functional exchange of ideas and an efficient information flow.
11. You support the development and implementation of internal controls and compliance measures.
Your Profile:
12. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or Business Administration with several years of experience in Controlling or Management Accounting.
13. You have strong expertise in cost controlling, intercompany invoicing, transfer pricing, and profitability analysis.
14. You are tech savvy and have a data-driven mindset, with hands-on expertise in SAP FI/CO, BW, S/4HANA and proficiency in analytics tools such as Power BI, SAC, VBA or similar.
15. You have strong business acumen and are able to understand the financial impact of controlling decisions for the business.
16. You have strong analytical skills and feel comfortable optimizing finance processes.
17. Familiarity with controlling in global Shared Service Environment environments is a plus.
18. You are a strong communicator who is able to work across functions and regions in a collaborative and solution-oriented way.
19. You are proactive and a structured, hands-on problem solver with strong time management and organisational skills.
20. You have the patience to listen, analyze and always think end to end.
21. You enjoy acting as a role model and oversee the activities of junior controllers in accordance with KWS principles and values.
22. You are fluent in English; German or any other european language is a plus
