Main mission
Within our Corporate & Legal department, the Assistant Manager/Manager Legal & Corporate shall be in charge of managing clients’ accounts and files on any corporate and legal aspects. This will notably entails preparing any relevant corporate documentation with respect to the incorporation of companies, as well as any reorganization projects (e.g. corporate restructuring, equity contribution/transfers, etc.). Given the strong development of the liquidation services within the firm, the Assistant Manager/Manager shall be involved in the daily operations of the solvent liquidations for which Grant Thornton is acting as liquidator. As Assistant Manager/Manager, you will also mentor, manage and support junior staff, fostering their development and reinforcing a corporate and legal culture within the team.
Main responsibilities
* Be part of our team, mentor, manage, support, train, hire and integrate your team members;
* Be in direct relation with clients, authorities and/or third parties (notaries, bankers, accountants, lawyers, …);
* Draft legal documents provide recommendations for the benefit of our clients and our internal services;
* Participate in all aspects of the corporate life of our client’ companies and carry out tasks linked to their day-to-day management;
* Organize board and shareholders meetings;
* Following up compliance (KYC-AML) and due diligence procedures;
* Assist our General Counsel;
* Assist our EU desk and other business lines in preparing, reviewing and monitoring contracts and specific legal related requests;
* Participate to external events & client learning sessions;
* Take care of the general legal administration within Grant Thornton Luxembourg.
Main requirements
* From 4 to 6 years’ experience in Corporate & Legal, ideally in a Fiduciary in Luxembourg;
* Master degree in Legal;
* Fluent in French and English or German and English (any other language is considered an asset);
* Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory laws;
* Proven ability to manage legal documentation, governance processes, and regulatory compliance – having knowledge in the investment funds industry shall be an asset;
* Willingness to learn and keep yourself informed of the latest legislative developments;
* Ability to prioritise multiple assignments and to meet deadlines with strong organisational skills;
* Ability to take initiative self-directed and results-oriented;
* Ability to work as a team player and team leader thanks to your communication and leadership skills;
* Attention to detail.
