What you'll do
You are a student with a passion for algorithmic programming and a strong interest in optimization methods and quantum computing? You want to have a direct and positive impact on an emerging field of technology? You are looking for your next challenge?
In this role you will be working alongside physicists, mathematicians, and software engineers to tackle the most challenging optimization problems arising in modern supply chains and prepare SAP Digital Supply Chain Optimization products for the advent of commercially usable quantum computers.

What you bring
* Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
* Preferred field(s) of study: Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Physics
* Enthusiasm for programming and practical experience in it
* Excellent programming competences in C++ and first experiences with version control systems, e.g. Git
* First experiences or strong interest in quantum computing and mathematical optimization
* A creative, analytical, and solution-oriented mind-set
* Motivation and result driven attitude
* Good teamwork and communication skills
* Fluent in verbal and written English and German
Meet your team
Our team develops modern planning solutions by using optimization and artificial intelligence methods that industrial companies worldwide use to plan and optimize their business.
The planning procedures are characterized by high scalability concerning the volume to be planned (procedure efficiency), broad functionality and seamless integrations into SAP applications. The solution will natively exploit SAP’s state-of-the-art capabilities in SAP Cloud Platform deployed on Kubernetes.
You can expect a quick onboarding and learning experience as well as a mentorship to ensure, that you get up-to-speed as-soon-as-possible. Within the team we count on self-motivation, continuous learning and helping each other and at the same time each can work on their own pace, which gives them flexibility to balance their professional and personal life.
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
