Job Purpose
As a Medical Affairs Manager, you will serve as an internal and external expert and scientific liaison for the assigned indication, providing key medical insights and ensuring the implementation of the global medical strategy in the DACH region. Your role will be pivotal in driving scientific engagement, supporting medical education, and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish yourself as a scientific expert and key point of contact, including treatment guidelines, protocols, trends, and ongoing and planned studies in the indication field.
* Ensure all employees in the DACH region maintain a high level of scientific knowledge by conducting internal and external product and disease training sessions.
* Support the development and evaluation of local study programs and market access initiatives in the DACH region and present corresponding opportunities.
* Implement the global medical strategy within the DACH region to align with corporate objectives.
* Independently organize and execute specific events, including KOL-led workshops, symposia, advisory boards, and congresses, while coordinating medical events.
* Represent the medical department at national and international meetings, congresses, and symposia, and provide detailed reports on key findings.
* Collaborate with the marketing department in the development and review of marketing materials, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance with medical guidelines.
* Develop and implement an annual medical and scientific plan that anticipates and supports the needs for product and disease information.
Experience And Professional Qualifications
* Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences (M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent).
* Prior experience in Medical Affairs, ideally within oncology, hematology, or pediatric indications.
* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly within the DACH region, is preferred.
* Strong understanding of clinical development, medical information, and market access strategies.
* Proven ability to engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals.
Skills And Competencies
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data into meaningful insights.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage multiple projects and events.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to support medical initiatives and business objectives.
* High level of scientific curiosity, with a proactive approach to staying informed about industry trends and advancements.
* Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills to work across functions and geographies.
* Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken).
