Requirements
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely closing and financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting the organization's financial health. This role involves overseeing accounting staff, coordinating audits, and implementing accounting policies and procedures. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for the implementation and development of financial systems for the expansion of DACH region.
What you’ll be doing :
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Oversee the daily activities for accounts payable, receivable and GL functions.
Ensure treasury/banks transactions, reporting and reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Ensure timely closing, cut off entries and accurate reporting of financial information.
Coordinate and prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Prepare VAT declarations and other tax declarations.
Ensure compliance with German Gaap standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
Develop and update accounting policies and procedures.
Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.
Coordinate relation with external auditors with necessary documentation.
Manage all projects related to the development of accounting and financial systems for the DACH region.
What you’ll need to be successful :
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite) and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Need to speak German and English fluently
