This is a fantastic opportunity to become a part of a well-established and fast growing infrastructure investment platform alongside a diverse and dynamic team. You will play a crucial role within a team of 13 investment experts located in Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid, and London. Joining this team will allow you to collaborate with all offices and enhance your expertise in various infrastructure subsectors within the Core+ space, particularly focusing on high-growth companies/verticals.
Summary of our opportunity
The European Infrastructure team can invest across the capital structure, seeking to enhance downside protection through investments into equity/quasi equity and structured instruments. To date, the team has deployed more than € in Core+ investments across energy transition, digital infrastructure, and renewable energy.
As a Manager, you will be involved in the sourcing, execution and management of infrastructure equity investments in Western Europe. You will be based out of Frankfurt or Paris and part of an integrated team of investment professionals spread across Western Europe.
Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
Sourcing/screening of opportunities
1. Assist with the initial screening of investment opportunities.
2. Contribute to the preparation of investment documentation and analysis.
3. Participate in sourcing efforts, by interactingwith market participants and with potential investment targets.
Deal execution
4. Identify and selectadvisors/ liaise and work with external advisors as requiredContribute to the deal strategy and negotiations, together with the senior management
5. Lead and own due diligence workstreams (financial, commercial, legal, etc
6. Lead and own financial analysis
7. Contribute to the preparation of investment committee documents
8. Lead and guide junior team members (analysts/ associates)
Portfolio management
9. Assist investee companies with financial and operational issues
10. Monitor the investee companies and work with relevant internal groups to ensure continued financial performance and return on investment, by:
11. Regularly reviewing financials
12. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of relevant industries
13. Potential growth strategies
14. Potential M&A transactions
15. Improve operational efficiency
16. Contribute to the exit of investments
17. Lead and guide junior team members (Analysts/ Associates)
Key Requirements/ Qualifications
You will have proven experience in:
18. BA or BSc degree from a leading University, preferably with MBA, CFA, ACA.
19. Fluent English and one additional EU language is required
20. Extensive experience in infrastructure, either on the investment or advisory/investment banking side.
