Function description
* You will report to the Board of Directors
* You will drive and shape company’s vision and strategic growth opportunities and regularly evaluate progress
* You take on the overall daily management of the company and its stakeholders
* You manage directly the sales team in charge of the different market segments
* You have full P&L responsibility
* You drive growth mainly through sales and marketing initiatives, as well as new product development
* You optimize products and service offerings and improve brand positioning
* You identify, manage and implement impactful operational improvements
* You will be travelling internationally regularly (est. 20% of the time)
* You identify, assess and manage the integration of strategic expansion/acquisition targets
* You provide regular reports to the Board of Directors regarding the company’s performance, while seeking their support where necessary
Job requirements
* Master Degree, or equivalent by experience
* At least 10 years of experience in a commercially driven general or commercial management position, preferably in an international setting
* Passion for sales, product development and marketing, being familiar with both (international) specialized retail and wholesale channels but with a solid understanding of production processes and related cost drivers
* Experience in the textile sector is a major plus
* Strong analytical capabilities and ability to make informed, strategic decisions but at the same time a hands-on management style with a lot of common sense
* Excellent communication and people management skills
* Familiarity with and thriving in a traditional Belgian SME environment, despite an extremely international sales focus
* Entrepreneurial drive: a passion for achieving success and driving business growth and a quick learner with a curious mind
* Fluency in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus, as this is the main language at the Tunisian production site.
* Long-term commitment: motivated to be part of a long-term project
* Financial commitment: possibility of becoming a shareholder in the medium term (6-18 months) with clear longer-term exit opportunities.

Remuneration will be a combination of a fixed fee and variable compensation, based on sales and bottom-line growth (most likely to be in the order of a 70/30 split). Buying into the company is a real option. You will be guided and supported by the previous management as well as by an experienced team of leaders within the private equity world.
