PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Responsible for oversight for the property damage and business interruption for Fresenius Medical Care. Ensure that FME adheres to all pertinent department objectives, performance standards and regulatory requirements to reduce risk. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate business interruption.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the groups Property Damage & Business Interruption, Machinery Breakdown, Construction/ Erection All Risk and Marine / Cargo Insurance program including risk engineering activities.
2. Leads, organizes, and coordinates the renewal process for the assigned insurance program with the directive to negotiate the best terms and conditions for the group.
3. Take responsibility for assigned insured program for full compliance with insurance regulations worldwide, including insurance premium taxation, audits and other transactional obligations.
4. Oversee claims management process for the assigned insurance programs and provide support and assistance to internal collaborators, and leading loss settlement negotiations to represent the group’s interest optimally.
5. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) by acting as a primary point of contact for cross-divisional teams, customers, vendors and third parties in the resolution of outstanding issues.
6. Maintain strong working relationships with cross-divisional teams; facilitating open communication and collaboration in achievement of shared goals and objectives.
7. Address technical questions and provide professional and timely advice to internal partners, subsidiaries and/or manufacturing sites.
8. Analysis and quantification of risks in collaboration with risk owners and external partners.
9. Collaboration on projects to optimize insurance processes and structures.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. 8+ years of professional experience within Property and Engineering insurances, ideally within the Healthcare/Life Science industry.
3. Great teammate in the framework of a small team as well as in an international, multi-cultural and cross-functional context.
4. Excellent analytical skills to support complex business analysis.
5. Strong negotiation skills with a track record to handle and finalize insurance contracts across assigned lines of insurances, ensuring alignment with business need and strategic objectives.
6. Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint, knowledge of risk modeling tools is a plus.
