Hauptaufgaben
Serves as a Visual Information Specialist in a 7th Army Training Support Center. Provides multimedia/visual information services to tenant, rotational, and authorized customers at installation for Army C4IM baseline and above baseline services utilizing computer graphics, photography, video imaging, multimedia, audio visual equipment, and digital output equipment. Performs work necessary to design, develop, acquire, document, test, implement, integrate, visual information requirements. Works in both studio and field environments to document training, historical, and significant events in the AOR with still and video imagery capture.
Produces, coordinates, and designs visual information products and support using VI/AV equipment, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe PrimierPro, AfterEffects, and audio editing software. Works with customers and advises clients on the best methods of portraying information through a variety of media products or processes, including various formats, styles, color usage, special effects, lighting, and the most appropriate treatment to achieve desired audience reaction.
Researches, designs, select, and produce visual information material using the most appropriate and cost effective method to best portray the subject matter and meet the requirement. Uses appropriate methods and techniques to enhance instruction or presentations through the use of related visual information graphic, photo, digital video products. Advises customers on production capability and suggests methods and approaches for achieving most effective training presentations. Creates visual information products within budget, material constraints, production schedules, and regulation. Prepares and produces visual information products for reimbursable work.
Utilizing artistic skills plans, prepares, produces and executes a wide variety of technical VI requirements in various forms. Operates complex computer graphics and electronic digital imagery systems in the production of a variety of visual items such as official DA digital photo for electronic submission, digital images for official DOD archives, presentations, multimedia and video productions. Photographs and video a variety of material, subjects, events on training areas, live fire ranges, and real world DoD military operations. Takes photographs of construction, geographical areas, flight operations, training exercise, and other official requirements.
Contacts and works with local, regional, and DoD Public Affairs Officers and unit points of contact to coordinate for coverage of events and expeditiously and properly release VI products. Receives, researches, and responds to Visual Information Ordering System (VIOS) requests from customers. Prepares and disseminates caption and imagery in accordance with VI policy and regulation. Ensures that itineraries for DV visits are not compromise and adheres to any security provisions.
Tracks, receives, and input accurate data on work orders in VIOS.
Performs other duties as assigned.

E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level V: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
• Applicants must be in possession of German driver's licenses class B.
• Office Automation skills required.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency Level AND German Language Proficiency Level C1 required.
