This role demands strong interaction and visual design skills to produce intuitive, cohesive components that meet high standards for usability, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal. Clear documentation and detailed specifications will also be essential for successful cross-functional collaboration. Skills: Strong interaction design skills to create intuitive and user-friendly components within a design system. Strong visual design skills to ensure a cohesive and polished aesthetic, especially in data visualizations and collections. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD). Strong understanding of design principles for data visualization and user-centered design. Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and understanding of their impact on design decisions. Experience in writing clear documentation and detailed specifications for components. Knowledge of accessibility standards and their application in design. Career Level - IC4 Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Component Design & Development: Design scalable, reusable UI components for data collections (e.g., tables, lists) and data visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs) within the design system, promoting consistency across products. Documentation & Specifications: Create detailed, developer-friendly specs, usage guidelines, and best practices that support smooth hand-offs and proper implementation. Documentation will serve as a key resource for designers and other stakeholders across the organization, fostering consistency and ease of use within the design system. Data-Driven UI/UX Design: Design intuitive and visually engaging ways to present data, ensuring complex information is accessible and easy to interpret. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to align design solutions with technical requirements and business objectives. Design System Evolution: Define and uphold standards for data collections and visualizations, contributing to the scalability and usability of the design system. Accessibility & Usability: Ensure that components adhere to accessibility guidelines, providing an inclusive experience for all users. Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes to illustrate interactions and iterate based on feedback.
