About the role: As a German speaking Area Sales Manager at Airprotech, you will take the lead on all the sales processes, answering customers’ questions, exploring and building potential solutions, and strongly supporting the customer in the evaluation process of the system mainly for the DACH region. You will champion a value-driven sales experience focused on understanding the customer's unique technical needs and building trust before talking about our systems. Working alongside Proposals and Engineering, you will uncover and surface the needs of our customers to ensure they are clearly understood and addressed during the design process, once the system has been sold. What is your role at Airprotech: Identify sales opportunities and implement action plans: propose sales promotion strategies, and initiate sales action plans based on the agreed targets with the Sales Manager to align sales strategy and achieve mid- and short-term business objectives. Plan and carry out sales activities to achieve sales targets: identify customers' needs and identify the sales opportunities for prospective development. Build a strong relationship with customers, supporting the customer in all aspects of the sales process and technical analysis with the support of the process team, and thereby concluding a profitable business. Customer Visit Reports: prepare timely individual customer visit reports and clearly establish the customers’ needs. Sales Forecast: provide forecasts – by customer and by product - to ensure production plants have sufficient information and lead time for planning. Collect market information: carry out market surveys, constantly update customer profiles, and identify new potential customers in the assigned area to achieve a high degree of market transparency. New Customers/business: constantly develop new business/new customers for sales growth. System implementation: collaborate with Engineering to refine Airprotech proposals, solutions, and services value and how they can be applied to solve customer's needs. Marketing support: collaborate with the marketing team to enhance documentation, write posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public marketing material. We are looking for: A Bachelor’s degree, with a technical subject, such as environmental engineering or chemical engineering. 5 years of experience in a Sales Engineering role (or similar), working in plant engineering companies, preferably with an environmental-based orientation. Strong verbal and written skills, especially the ability to present the company to prospective clients and generate viable solution proposals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German Knowledge of a second language is highly valued. A self-starter who can build from the ground up and manage complex projects requiring sound judgment, collaboration, and leadership. Familiar with Microsoft Software applications. Willingness to travel.
