YOUR TASKS:
* You research literature on the topic of 3D mapping and localization for mobile, autonomous robots.
* You make a well-reasoned selection of methods to be investigated.
* You implement selected methods on the provided hardware, adapt them, or further develop them.
* You design and conduct experiments to compare different methods.
* You evaluate the selected methods.
* You document your work results in detail.
YOUR PROFILE:
* You are studying mathematics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable field of study.
* You have excellent programming skills in C++.
* Ideally, you have knowledge in the areas of laser measurement technology, mathematical optimization, or cartography.
* (Very) good English skills.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Your independent and structured working style completes your profile.
