Your prospective job:
You will act as a FPGA Designer (f/m/d) Space for our prestigious client in the field of aerospace industry in the area of Munich.
As a member of the electronics department team, you will be tasked with designing and testing FPGA firmware. The electronic units you'll work on control high-precision motors, actively dampen vibrations, process high-resolution image data, interpret sensor signals, among other functions.
Your responsibilities:
- Analyzing and defining requirements
- Architectural design and decomposition of requirements into functional blocks
- FPGA design, implementation, and constraint setting
- Design documentation compliant with internal and external regulatory standards
- Development and execution of test benches for RTL and timing simulations
- Formal verification of FPGA designs, including timing analysis, code coverage, and coding rule checks
- Assistance with FPGA integration onto the target hardware
- Definition of verification concepts and strategies
- Execution of FPGA verification and testing on the target hardware
- Programming of test hardware for the automated execution of hardware test cases
Your profile:
- A university degree in electrical engineering or a related field (from a Technical University or University of Applied Sciences).
- Several years of professional experience in VHDL design for synthesis and behavioral modeling, preferably in the space industry.
- Proficiency in using state-of-the-art design and simulation tools (e.g., Libero, Modelsim).
- Experience in FPGA design and verification in accordance with ECSS-E-ST-20-40 and ECSS-Q-ST-60-02 standards.
- Experience in mitigating single event effects caused by radiation.
- Experience in implementing and verifying FPGA-based signal processing and control algorithms.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ or Python.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
