Are you an experienced Project Management Officer with expertise in delivering renewable energy projects, specifically in hydrogen or gas sectors?
A leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced Project Management Officer to lead, monitor, and execute a range of dynamic projects across various development stages. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring efficient end-to-end project management and delivery.
Role Overview:
* Manage green hydrogen and renewable power generation projects.
* Drive project development within the core business, collaborating with public and private stakeholders, OEMs, regulators, and other key parties.
* Coordinate and oversee internal and external resources to advance projects from concept development through planning, permitting, final investment decision, construction, and commissioning.
* Apply our Project Management Methodology, based on industry best practices, to effectively control schedule, cost, and quality risks.
* Ensure timely completion of project deliverables, communicating progress to stakeholders.
* Generate regular internal and client-facing project reports.
* Contribute to the preparation of grant applications and engagement with public sector financial support mechanisms.
* Stay current on hydrogen projects and use cases both in the UK and internationally.
Experience & Skills:
* Several years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of simultaneously leading and delivering multiple projects.
* Project management certification or training, such as APM.
* Experience managing complex projects in energy, construction, or related fields.
* Knowledge of renewable energy industries, including wind, solar, hydrogen, or fuel cell technology.
* Experience managing projects through the full development lifecycle.
* Ability to review technical scopes and deliverables, providing constructive feedback to the team and third parties.
* Strong commercial negotiation and contractor management skills.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong risk and issue management abilities, with experience in corporate dispute resolution.
* Superior organizational and time-management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Word.
Qualifications:
We seek candidates with a solid academic background, ideally holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
