WORKPLACE: Hybrid Neuss office / Home office.
SCOPE:
Reporting to the Accounting Tax & Statutory EU Director, The Finance Accounting Manager DACH will be responsible for organizing and supervising certain aspects of the accounting in accordance with the fixed procedures and group accounting policy, including US GAAP and J-SOX.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
Team Management
* Responsible for the productivity and efficiency of a local Accountant through consistent management of performance, regular feedback and coaching.
* Supervises and supports the accounting personnel in processing incoming and outgoing invoices, inter-company settlements, stock management and fixed capital
* Conduct 1-2-1s and quarterly performance reviews with the individual to provide support and identify development/training needs.
* Set and review objectives for team and create development plans
Financial Reporting
* Analyzes financial reports, controls the accuracy of accounting summaries, payroll data, debtor and creditor registers and tax declarations
* Resolves complex accounting problems and leads periodical reports
* Analyzes the financial problems of the company and is very proficient at resolving financial problems
* Draws up reports for the direction on local, international and corporate level
* Follows the payroll data, credit control, collections, general administrative files and deals with complex files
Procedure and Process Improvement
* Is free to adjust procedures in accordance with the group policy and legal regulations
* Is responsible for elaborating and following-up the result calculations and balances and the correct execution of the financial accounting
* Draws the periodical analysis and reports for the Branch & Financial & Management
TAX Responsibilities
* Acting responsible as the contact person with CPA (Certified Public Accountants) tax administration and other legal or third-party legal partners

SKILLS AND QUALITIES REQUIRED:
* Strong written & verbal communication skills to communicate complex messages in a compelling manner with stakeholders at all levels and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
* Accounting & control expertise in accounting processes & review procedures
* Analytical experience understanding complex issues to facilitate solutions to deliver results
* Experience within a fast-moving audit environment and/or retail environment
* Good working knowledge of SAP and Blackline is preferable
* Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
* Proficiency in computer tools and software: MS Office (Excel and advanced functions) and ORACLE.
* Ability to use English language in a professional setting; presentations, communication with wider European team, is preferable.
* Master of international accounting standards: IFRS, US GAAP and French GAAP
