WFP is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy for individual giving, and ShareTheMeal is a key driver for this strategy going forward. The team, located in Berlin and remotely, is focused on increasing the funds raised to help get to zero hunger by further developing the app and web to include new and innovative features, increasing the engagement of existing users and growing the userbase through marketing and communication initiatives. As the user base has grown, there is a significant opportunity to increase funds raised from existing users and deliver an exceptional experience to build a long-term relationship with each supporter. ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES : The Consultant, reporting to the Test Engineer for ShareTheMeal, is expected to: 1.Support testing and verification of new features for upcoming ShareTheMeal app and web releases, working closely with the Test Engineer o Perform Confirmatory Testing, create comprehensive and well-structured test cases, run UATs (Users Acceptance Test), regression tests, maintain test cases and monitor known risks o Perform Exploratory Testing, determine test cases and conduct cognitively structured ad-hoc experiments, examine potential risks, and report them 2. Work with software developers to ensure quality across devices, assets, and user locales. 3. Understand requirements and review necessary specifications, liaising with the Product and Design Teams 4. Identify, document and report test metrics 5. Support adopting a Quality Assistance model and helping improve it 6. Collect and share information about best practices and modern testing tools, open-source projects, and test strategies 7. Help troubleshoot issues DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT: - Comprehensive and well-structured test plans - Documentation and handover of testing processes and tracked test metrics to the Test Analyst for ShareTheMeal -A maintainable and triaged bug tracking system in place QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing; prior experience with mobile app testing is necessary Knowledge & Skills: -Ability to think analytically and critically -Good understanding of mobile app UX and an eye for detail -Good understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, error codes, etc. -Knowledge of modern testing strategies -Good understanding of Agile principles -Highly motivated with a willingness to unlearn and re-learn and improve yourself and the team -Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to partner with a wide range of people across diverse cultures Languages: In addition to a high proficiency in written and spoken English, knowledge of a second UN language is a plus WFP LEADERSHIP FRAMEWORK WFP Leadership Framework guides to the common standards of behavior that guide HOW we work together to accomplish our mission.
