Job Title: Senior Medical Advisor
Department: Medical
Reports to: Group Medical Director
Tasks:
The Medical team’s primary focus is to provide medical consultation and scientific background for campaigns and projects. It also advises clients and agency-members. In this context the medical team always ensures and provides the best possible service related to high science, medical writing, and healthcare marketing.
The Senior Medical Advisor acts as a Consultant who is primarily responsible for ensuring that all requested services are carried out professionally and on time with high level of scientific background, and healthcare marketing.
Responsibilities:
1. Rapid familiarization with new and different indications/specialties (e.g., cardiology, immunology, oncology, and neurology)
2. Monitoring healthcare policy, the market and competitors from a medical-scientific perspective, recognizing new trends and developments
3. Being able to summarize clinical studies
4. Referencing materials and preparing for the approval process
5. Weighting and translation of medical content into a marketing-oriented communication argumentation
6. Briefing the teams (project management, creation) on key content
7. Handling day-to-day business
8. Maintaining contact with external medicals and medicals on the client side, possibly with occasional willingness to travel
9. Independent content conception and creation of materials (print and digital) on a medical-scientific basis in coordination with the Group Medical Director:sales materials, e.g. folders, cards, iDetailingsscientific materials, e.g. medical-scientific slide kits, study overviews/summaries, HCP material with scientific/medical language
10. Competent contact person for clients for specialist questions and topics
11. Co-creation and joint presentation of customer presentations, participation in customer meetings
12. Potentially moderation of expert group meetings (e.g., advisory boards)
13. Recording congress content and being able to summarize it
14. collaborate with team on pitch presentations
15. Supporting the development and expansion of an internal medical network
16. Training and further education of team members
Education/ Professional Experience:
17. Completed scientific (biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics) or medical studies, preferably with a doctorate
18. At least 4-6 years of professional experience as a medical consultant, preferably in healthcare marketing agency or in Medical Education
Special Knowledge/ Requirements:
19. Excellent in German
20. Fluent in written and spoken English
21. Confident appearance and confident interaction with customers
22. excellent self-organization and planning reliability, easy to work with deadlines
23. Confident handling of MS Office programs
24. Ability to work with scientific precision
25. Presentation skills
26. Knowledge of reference program Veeva PM would be a bonus
