Summary
We are looking for a “Commissioning and Service Technician (f/m/d)” for the “Integration & Service Ground Based Systems” department at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.
The “Integration & Service Ground Based Systems” department offers a broad and interesting range of tasks and is responsible for the commissioning, acceptance and service of periscopes and stabilized platforms (e.g. Leopard 2 or Puma infantry fighting vehicles) in the factory as well as on site at the customer's premises worldwide. Our optronic products are used worldwide by armed forces and security personnel for surveillance, identification and classification as well as for high-precision measurement, evaluation, target acquisition and self-protection.
Your Tasks
1. Commissioning of complex precision mechanical and optoelectronic devices with a high software component
2. Acceptance of devices and systems in the factory
3. Analyzing malfunctions and determining remedial measures
4. Determining or agreeing and carrying out the type and scope of fault and damage rectification within certain limits according to economic aspects
5. Carrying out customer repairs in the factory and occasionally on site at the customer's premises
6. Creating customer and device documentation (test reports, acceptance documentation, error logs, diagnostic reports)
7. Collaboration in the creation of service and test instructions as well as adaptations of test software or devices
8. Carrying out and ensuring the necessary quality inspections including documentation
Willingness for occasional international service activities at customer sites is required.
Your Profile
9. Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician or industrial mechanic with an affinity for electronics or comparable training
10. Further qualification as a master craftsman or technician advantageous
11. Several years of professional experience in the assembly, commissioning, diagnosis and repair of complex precision mechanical and electronic assemblies / devices
12. Soldering and bonding skills, ideally certified soldering, bonding and crimping training
13. Knowledge of bus systems (CAN) or programming knowledge advantageous
14. Confident handling of software tools and device software
15. Independent, precise and structured way of working and enjoy working in a team
16. Confident appearance with customers and confident interaction with internal interface partners
17. Fluent German and good English skills
