WSA is seeking an experienced Head of Software Project Management to lead and steer global software project management and Agile teams across B2B, B2C, and infrastructure projects within the hearing aid industry. This role is critical in ensuring standardized project management methodologies, data-driven tracking, and successful delivery of software initiatives.
As the owner of project tracking methods and data quality, the Director will oversee Agile Coaches and Project Leaders distributed across India, Singapore, Germany, and Denmark. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, acting as the single point of contact for Product, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
What you will do
* Global Project Management & Agile Leadership
* Lead and standardize project management practices across multiple global locations, ensuring consistency in approach and execution.
* Drive best-in-class Agile and project tracking methodologies, ensuring high-quality project planning, execution, and reporting.
* Directly manage and support Agile Coaches and Project Leaders, ensuring alignment with company goals and project priorities.
* Oversee cross-functional coordination to ensure development teams meet delivery expectations on time, agreed scope, quality and within budget.
* Data-Driven Project Tracking & Reporting
* Own and enhance methods and data quality for project tracking, ensuring real-time visibility into project progress, financials, and feasibility.
* Establish and maintain a state-of-the-art reporting framework, providing insights into project status, prioritization, and resource allocation.
* Translate portfolio and marketing requests into forward-looking financial and team availability plans, assessing feasibility and optimizing resource allocation.
* Ensure financial, time, and content tracking across all software development initiatives.
* Team Development & Leadership
* Recruit, train, and mentor a global team of Agile Masters and Project Leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
* Develop training programs to enhance project management expertise, ensuring teams stay updated with industry best practices.
* Implement effective communication strategies to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on priorities and expectations.
* Stakeholder Communication & Strategic Alignment
* Serve as the primary point of contact between software project teams and key business functions, including Product, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
* Ensure transparent and structured communication at all levels, from development teams to executive leadership.
* Align software project roadmaps with business objectives, customer needs, and market trends, driving innovation and competitive advantage.
What you bring
* Proven experience (10+ years) in software project management, Agile leadership, and global team management.
* Strong background in leading distributed teams across multiple locations, preferably in India, Singapore, Germany, and Denmark.
* Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, etc.) and project management best practices.
* Deep understanding of project tracking tools, financial planning, and feasibility assessment.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable project plans.
* Experience working in B2B, B2C, and infrastructure software projects, ideally within the MedTech or hearing aid industry.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and performance tracking.
