The internship is compensated and offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transport and aviation law at the forefront of the airfreight industry.
1. Conduct legal research and provide analysis on key legal and policy issues impacting the air cargo industry
2. Gain in-depth insights into the daily operations of an in-house legal and political affairs department at a major global cargo airline
3. Actively contribute to team meetings, providing new insights and perspectives on legal and regulatory matters affecting an airline
4. Evaluate current developments in case law and legislation in different jurisdictions
5. Contribute to the development and implementation of key legal department projects, including initiatives related to legal tech innovation
6. Engage, network and collaborate with legal teams, colleagues and interns across the Lufthansa Group

Pursuing a postgraduate master's degree in legal studies (LL.M.), ideally specializing in air law and transportation law.
7. You are at least in the 3rd semester of a degree program at the time of the internship
8. Enrolled for the entire period of the internship (current certificate of enrollment and a written must be enclosed with the application)
9. Fluent in English; familiarity with German is a plus but not mandatory
10. Quick understanding and the ability to work independently
11. Open to collaborating and communicating within a team
12. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
13. Interest in or knowledge of current trends in legal technology is a plus
14. Proficient in using MS Office applications
15. EU/EFTA national or valid residence permit for Germany
