We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide advanced support for in house software applications and escalate issues related to the Microsoft Office Suite when required. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our applications, working closely with users, the development team, and third level support as necessary. Key Responsibilities: Advanced User Support : Provide expert assistance for custom built software applications used by the client. Act as the escalation point for unresolved Microsoft Office Suite issues from first level technical support. Incident and Problem Management : Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex application related issues reported by users. Collaborate with the development team or escalate to third level support to ensure timely resolution of critical incidents. Application Testing and Validation : Perform basic application tests for changes or updates to ensure smooth functionality. Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) tests to validate application availability and performance. Documentation and Knowledge Management : Develop, update, and maintain user facing documentation, such as user guides, FAQs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by documenting support procedures and resolutions. Qualifications and Requirements: Education : Diploma in the IT domain or a related field. Experience : Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in application support or a related role. Proven expertise in supporting enterprise level applications and troubleshooting complex issues. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of custom application environments and troubleshooting methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite support, including advanced configurations and issue resolution. Familiarity with basic testing procedures and tools is a plus. Languages : Fluency in both French and English is required. Soft Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical users. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Proactive attitude and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
