We are looking for a professional to join our Controllers team in Frankfurt with the unique opportunity to work across both the Regulatory Reporting and Regulatory Policy functions. OUR IMPACT Controllers are a diverse team of specialists charged with ensuring the firm meets the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. The Controllers team in Frankfurt is responsible for ensuring that the financial and regulatory requirements of our German entities are met, in accordance with statutory and firm requirements. This includes the maintenance of adequate capital resources to meet their commitments and to withstand the risks to which the business is subject, e.g. Market Risk, Credit Risk and Operational Risk, and other risks as assessed in our ICAAPs. The Regulatory Policy function is a specialist unit within Regulatory Controllers which analyses and advocates on regulatory/capital developments focusing on UK and EU prudential requirements, whether from Basel, PRA or EU authorities. The function also focuses on existing regulatory capital rules providing written interpretations, transaction analysis and updates and advice to stakeholders. HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL As a capital Policy Associate you will be involved in and/or have responsibility for: Current and future policy analysis and advocacy focusing on financial resources, with a strong focus on capital, RWA and Leverage Provide written interpretations of capital rules including new and revisions to a suite of policy documents Liaise with wider stakeholders across our business areas, Risk, Controllers, Government Affairs, Legal, Treasury and Technology to develop appropriate requirements, processes and solutions Provide transactions advice and support to business areas on capital rules Support the execution of the regulatory capital stress tests and ICAAPs Address ad hoc requests in relation to regulatory aspects (for example in the context of the Basel monitoring/EBA Quantitative Impact Study or QIS and the ECB Short-Term Exercise or ‘STE’) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR Academic degree in business administration, finance or related fields Ideally, a minimum 3 years of professional experience in the financial industry (i.e., investment banks, consultancies, or regulatory bodies), preferably with some exposure to the banking regulatory environment Business fluency in English.
