Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX: As the Director, Distribution Operations EMEA at Arc’teryx, you take an active role in setting the strategic direction for our warehousing and logistics network. You are responsible for establishing industry-leading service levels in partnership with Commercial stakeholders, 3PL service providers and Amer Group Warehousing and Logistics teams. You will engage with front-line Distribution Centre leaders to ensure they have clarity on company strategy, priorities and standards and support them in achieving their maximum service-level potential. Through your work, you will engage with teams in Amer Sports-owned group warehouses located in Uberherrn, Germany and other areas as our Distribution network grows. This role required to travel up to 50% of the time and is based out of our Garching office, near Munich. The position is open to hybrid remote work (3 days in the office - 2 days at home). Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany. Meet Your Future Team: The Warehousing and Logistics team is the small but mighty operational brain of the Arc’teryx brand and works in close concert with Arc’teryx Commercial, Product and Merchandising teams to deliver our business goals in the near and long-term. Operating within the Amer Sports Group, the W&L team plays a critical role in interfacing with Amer Operational Group functions (Warehousing, Customs, Transportation and Logistics Support to name a few ), ensuring services delivered are in line with brand strategic objectives. If you were the Director, Distribution Operations EMEA now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing: Ensuring strong collaboration, alignment and execution of Global D&T strategy, including 3PL vs Own DC strategy Supporting global operations as required in regions such as NAM, APAC, etc Collaborating with our EMEA warehousing operations out of our facility in Uberherrn, Germany Cultivating strong partnerships with Amer Sports Group distribution centers and successfully negotiating, influencing, and managing relationships with the various stakeholders to help define and meet our warehousing and logistics roadmap out to 2028 Partnering with business leaders on Peak planning, Distribution and Logistics operational performance, capacity planning and delivery flow to ensure all needs related to warehousing and logistics are met across the business Building, coaching, and guiding a high performing team Building strong partnerships with other Amer teams and successfully negotiating, influencing, and managing relationships with the various stakeholders to help define and meet our warehousing and logistics roadmap out to 2028 Creating and executing on a Distribution and Logistics strategy to support our vertical and direct to consumer goals Partnering with business leaders on peak planning, DC, Logistics and Customs operational performance, capacity planning and delivery flow to ensure all needs related to warehousing and logistics are met across the business Working closely with our Amer Group Warehouses and front-line DC leaders to ensure they are fully supported and enabled to deliver Arc’teryx SLAs through understanding strategy, priorities, and standards Collaborating with Inbound and Outbound transportation teams and Customs team to improve the efficiency and timely movement of goods Identifying and driving cross-functional process improvement initiatives in support of Guest Experience Leading the translation of Commercial requirements into processes and SLA’s for the EMEA Supply Chain team Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future: Developing an 2-5 year business roadmap and distribution strategy to support the expected growth of our EMEA business Developing and implementing a multi-DC set-up in Europe Supporting our Commercial team in the rollout of Ship-from-Store and Click and Collect functionalities in our Retail Brand Stores Are you our next Director, Distribution Operations EMEA?
