Your Role: As the Finance Director for our European automotive division, you will lead and manage all financial and business-related activities, ensuring alignment within our matrix organizational structure. You will collaborate with business leaders to achieve financial goals and enhance overall financial performance. Additionally, you will act as the Managing Director for the local German business, providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the business unit's alignment with corporate objectives. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including trend and variance analysis, and prepare the monthly Executive Financial Book. Lead the preparation and presentation of detailed forecasts, strategic plans, and budgets. Evaluate business cases for new hires and capital investments critically. Analyze working capital components (Inventories, A/R, A/P) to optimize performance, with a focus on cash collections. Serve as a member of the local management team, contributing to strategic decision-making. Implement cost controls and critically assess indirect spending. Maintain high standards of financial control, compliance with SOX controls, and adherence to accounting regulations (US-GAAP, Local GAAP - HGB, Tax). Oversee the implementation of the new ERP System (SAP) for Finance. Ensure compliance with statutory accounting requirements. Provide strategic leadership and direction as Managing Director, ensuring the business unit's alignment with corporate objectives. Education & Experience Required: Bacheloru2019s degree in economics or accounting with strong analytical skills. Demonstrated senior-level experience in finance, including leadership roles in manufacturing industries. Proven experience as a Managing Director in similar companies, demonstrating strategic and operational leadership. Fluent in English; native proficiency in German. Desired Skills: Strong team player with a proactive approach, integrity, and accountability. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to explain complex financial results clearly and concisely. Proficient in prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems; SAP implementation experience is a plus. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a matrix environment. Exceptional planning, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Experience with large-scale data, reporting tools, and financial systems. Proven ability to present to senior executives and influence decision-making. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Results-oriented with a track record of working capital reduction, cost control, and operational productivity. Experience in manufacturing and operations within a large multinational company.
