Job Overview
We are looking for a driven and seasoned Customer Quality SR. Manager/Director (title will reflect experience) to join our client's innovative team in Germany. This position will concentrate on ensuring top-notch quality for our client's European OEM partners.
Ideal Candidate
The perfect candidate will have 7 to 15 years of experience in the automotive sector, with a solid grasp of software development practices, quality standards, and frameworks. You should excel in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
Customer Quality Management
* Act as the main point of contact for all quality-related inquiries from European OEM clients.
* Manage customer expectations proactively to align with project goals and timelines.
* Foster robust relationships with customer quality teams and stakeholders.
Quality Assurance
* Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, including AITF 16949, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and ASPICE.
* Track key quality metrics like defect rates, customer complaints, and warranty returns.
* Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures to address quality challenges.
Project Oversight
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, software development) to ensure timely, high-quality project deliveries.
* Lead or participate in program reviews and audits with clients.
* Provide quality insights during software development, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
* Build and lead a customer quality team as the organization grows, aligning development with business needs.
* Mentor and train team members on quality standards, processes, and customer engagement strategies.
Startup Agility
* Adapt to the demands of a startup environment, managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance internal processes and align with industry best practices.
Experience
* 7-15 years in automotive quality management, ideally with experience in software development projects for European OEMs.
* Proven experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, successfully balancing customer relations and team development.
Domain Expertise
* In-depth understanding of automotive software standards, including ASPICE, ISO 26262, and functional safety regulations.
Leadership Potential
* Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, with a history of coaching or scaling quality teams.
Education
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Automotive Systems, or a related discipline.
Skills
* Knowledge of European OEM quality expectations and processes.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, employing a data-driven approach to quality management.
