Network Administrator – Intermediate – TS/SCI required

HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR - INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
* Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and usage of the company’s local area network.
* Studies contractor products to determine those which best meet company needs; assists in presentation of information to management resulting in purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment.
* Manages network performance and maintains network security.
* Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced.
* Installs all network software.
* Evaluates, develops and maintains telecommunications systems.
* Troubleshoots network problem Establishes and implements network policies, procedures and standards and ensures their conformance with information systems and company’s objectives.
* Trains users on network operation.
* Performs administration duties for networking hardware including routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, network interface cards, networking cables, network bridges, modems, ISDN adapters, firewalls and other related network hardware
* Must have firm grasp and knowledge of fiber and copper-based Ethernet technologies, capabilities and cabling and their connectivity to local and wide area networks
* Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques
* Installs and configures network hardware and software
* Provides network troubleshooting and support
* Provides technical support and training to end-users
* Administers network security
* Backs up file server data/disks
* Provides complex server maintenance
* Sets up new users and deletes old users from the network
* Troubleshoots and resolves issues with network infrastructure and/or components
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
* Education: Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience
* Preferred Skillset/Experience:
o Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support
o Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software
o Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
* Clearance Level: TS/SCI
* Required Certification(s):
o DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
o IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent
o Computing Environment certification: CCNA or CCNA-Security
* Location: On Customer Site
* Additional:
o Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
o Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
o Travel may be required to support the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $83,096 - $50,817. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
