For more information, visit www.aerovect.com. Job Description: We are looking for Autonomous Vehicle Operators to join AeroVect’s Frankfurt-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our autonomous airport tractors at Frankfurt International Airport as they autonomously navigate across the airfield. Your supervision of the vehicles will improve the performance and safety of our technology. You will work side-by-side with our engineering team, providing crucial feedback on vehicle performance and ensuring safe vehicle behavior. As part of the AeroVect team, you’ll have the chance to get hands-on with autonomous vehicles in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This position is a contract role from January to June 2025, based in Frankfurt, Germany with training in Atlanta, GA, USA. What You’ll Do: Supervise autonomous tractors while in operation at Frankfurt International Airport (FRA), and manually drive them to and from their storage depot Log vehicle behavior, performance, observations, and key metrics Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the vehicles and their hardware systems Work with the engineering team to trial and test new vehicle features Interface with those interacting with the vehicle while in operation Lend your expertise to the improvement of vehicle performance and handling of complex driving scenarios Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Experience operating in Airside Environments in the EU Experience handling specialty vehicle types in complex environments A valid EU driver’s license, with 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record Experience in a lead or sole-supervisor role, demonstrating superior responsibility Being a reliable, detailed-oriented individual with strong communication skills Alertness and good driving instinct to monitor autonomous vehicle performance Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends Must be able to pass federal background checks and receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge Fluency in German and English Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating an autonomous vehicle or overseeing operations of autonomous machinery Experience with safety-critical infrastructure Basic computer programming skills. ROS experience is a plus. Interest in autonomous driving and aviation Familiarity with the layout and operations of FRA
