KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is seeking for an agronomist as new Crop Management Expert (m/f/d) to strengthen our International AgroService team in the field of sugarbeet as soon as possible.
The International AgroService is the scientific backbone of agronomic consulting in sugarbeet and contributes agronomic expertise to research and development projects as well as to commercial activities. Our KWS traits are already making an important contribution to the success of sugarbeet growers worldwide. Intensive and individualized advice, also with consideration of the entire crop rotation, is essential for this. In this role as our Crop Management Expert (m/f/d) you will take responsibility for the development of the necessary holistic crop management strategies for sugarbeet growers and bring our location specific advice to a next level. In this way, you will help to ensure that sugarbeet cultivation can meet the challenges of the future.
The place of work is in Einbeck (Lower Saxony/ Germany) and this exciting and varied position is also permanent and full-time.
Your tasks - challenge meets responsibility :
1. Transfer stewardship and management concepts for KWS sugar beet traits and products (e.g. CR+, CONVISO® SMART, Virus Yellows Protect) into holistic crop management strategies
2. Analyze customer information at regional, local, and individual levels to understand existing crop management practices and define opportunities for improvement
3. Translate general cultivation strategies into tailored customer specific strategies to ensure optimal long-term stewardship and performance
4. Monitor the regulatory details for herbicides, fungicides and insecticides in specific markets and drive the development of an appropriate digital system for storing and accessing this data
5. Support the integration of crop management strategies into KWS's digital tool portfolio
6. Promote the vision of the International AgroService to provide world-class “grow how” crop through excellent crop management advice
Your profile - competence meets personality:
7. Academic degree in agricultural sciences or a comparable field
8. In-depth specialist knowledge and practical experience, ideally in agricultural consulting and crop protection, combined with strong passion for sugarbeet
9. Experience with digital decision support tools for arable farming
10. Reliable and independent way of working with an eye for detail
11. Excellent communication and personal interaction skills for collaboration in international teams
12. Ability to work in complex structures (matrix organization) and international context; both in the office and in the field
13. Strong project management skills across regional and cultural borders with an open mind for innovations
14. High level of personal responsibility, conscientiousness and perseverance
15. IT skills in Microsoft Applications
16. Professional written and oral communication skills in English, other language skills are an advantage
17. Willingness to travel frequently and internationally (approx. 15%)
18. Valid class B driver's license
