Your main focus will be toown and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shiftperformance standards. Youll also oversee process improvementswithin your area and drive implementation. A typical day is varied,including everything from routine team management and dailyoperational responsibilities to process improvement and wide scaleoperational contingency tasks. Youll also be a role model andmentor to new managers. About the team Amazon Extra Large (AMXL)looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances.Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilmentto delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from othersis the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver largeitems, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away olditems where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity andinnovation, were changing the way customers buy and receive largegoods for the better. We have ambitious plans to expand ourspecialist fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UKand Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will dosome night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is madeup of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligenceand programme management, and everyone plays a crucial role ingrowing this part of the business.
