Job Description
As a Project Manager, you own the delivery of multidisciplinary design projects. You will be expected to work within a team to successfully manage and deliver planning projects.
You will have a background in building planning and design project management and experience in the delivery of a range of multi-disciplinary projects from the public and private sectors in Germany. You will be familiar with working in large, cross-regional multidisciplinary teams on projects at all stages of the project lifecycle including development from feasibility to detailed design and construction.
Responsibilities:
* Project management, including stakeholder, schedule, and contract management
* Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of your project
* Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources
* Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
* Quality management processes for project activities and outputs
* Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
* Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews
* Strong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team
* Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, are identified and acted upon
* Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
* Mentorship of junior project managers
Qualifications
* Academic or vocational qualification in a relevant technical or project management discipline. Engineering or Architectural background preferred
* Experience in managing large architecture and planning projects in Germany. Minimum 5 years
* Proficiency with regard to German market requirements and regulations such as HOAI, VOB
* Experience in managing large delivery teams from different geographies
* Full contractual proficiency in German and English languages
* 3 days per week office attendance in Essen
* Occasional travel to project sites and clients' offices
