Job Purpose:
Lead the Sales Team (team of 4) in developing a strategic commercial understanding, using market knowledge to deliver a world-class sales service that enables Tensar Division to provide meaningful value to our customers through the sale of optimal solutions to drive financial success.
Key responsibilities:
* Strategy development - Contribute to and positively challenge the organisational, regional and sales strategy, using knowledge and insight gained through the strength of the relationships built with customers; drive Key Account strategy to leverage tangible results.
* New Product Introduction - In conjunction with Regional Director devise commercial strategy for Tensar InterAx; implement & monitor strategy.
* Lead the Sales Team in implementing the sales strategy to deliver the sales plan, taking account of Sales vs Budget through conversion/pipeline/value.
* Lead, develop and support the team, ensuring successful monitoring and reporting of progress in achieving the sales plan.
* Coach, engage and motivate the Sales Team to achieve success and continuous improvement.
* Through networking and establishing a respected presence in the industry, exert commercial influence on the market and identify commercial opportunities the Sales Team can magnify, maintaining & maximising relationships with key distributors.
* Support the ongoing technical, commercial, and behavioural development of the Sales Team to maintain the highest standards of sales focus on maximising targeted sales opportunities.
* Act as liaison between functional and commercial departments to help define and implement strategies that support business needs and drive the business forward.
* Regularly and fully utilise Tensar Division’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in the upkeep and management of customer and sales data in line with agreed protocol.
* Drive increased customer satisfaction through the Sales function, by ensuring everyone involved understands their role in managing and meeting customer expectations.
* Drive a positive culture across the Sales Team, driving engagement and collaboration to ensure the Sales Team is a great team.
* Work directly in the field if needed
Education/Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
* Must speak German and English on a very confident level - the business language is English
* Must have an academic educational degree in civil engineering background.
* Must have knowledge in selling added value systems or products.
* Must have knowledge in direct and multi-stage sales process
* Must have people leadership skills – motivation, communication, inspiration
* Must have sales leadership skills – negotiation, collaboration, connection
* Must possess the ability to think strategically
* Must have a problem-solver mindset with the confidence to challenge at all levels.
* Should be an internal and external networker
* Should be customer-focused, both internally and externally
* Must be a confident and credible communicator
* Good IT skills with practical experience of Microsoft Office, CRM, and other data management systems are essential
