We seek someone passionate about cybersecurity, eager to share their expertise, and committed to preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. This role offers the opportunity to shape students into skilled practitioners ready to tackle modern cyber threats. Responsibilities As a Cybersecurity Lead Instructor, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities to ensure an exceptional learning experience and student success. These include: Academic Leadership: Oversee the entire academic experience of the cybersecurity bootcamp, ensuring students master key concepts and gain hands-on expertise. Develop and deliver lessons aligned with course objectives using interactive lectures, labs, and projects. Assess and provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments, labs, and projects to track student progress and learning outcomes. Teaching and Mentorship: Responsible for teaching the curriculum designed by our global education team. Teach and guide students through core topics, including network administration, ethical hacking, malware analysis, threat intelligence, and incident response. Support students in mastering tools such as SIEM (Splunk), IDS/IPS, Elastic Stack (Kibana), and penetration testing tools like Metasploit and Burp Suite. Mentor students through real-world scenarios and capstone projects, preparing them for cybersecurity challenges and certifications. Curriculum Collaboration: Work with the global education team to refine and enhance curriculum content, ensuring alignment with the latest industry trends and certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security). Develop and update lab exercises, assessments, and supplemental learning materials to provide a robust learning experience. Community Building: Cultivate a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that inspires collaboration and peer learning. Participate in events like hackathons, meetups, and career fairs to foster a sense of community among students and alumni. Career Preparation: Collaborate with program managers and outcomes teams to support students' career goals, including resume workshops, certification exam preparation, and mock interviews. Guide students in applying their skills in final scenarios, such as penetration testing challenges and malware forensics, to showcase their capabilities to future employers. Continuous Improvement: Monitor student feedback and performance to improve course delivery and outcomes. Stay current with cybersecurity tools, trends, and best practices to bring cutting-edge knowledge into the classroom. Empower students to become highly skilled cybersecurity professionals and lead them toward successful careers in the tech industry Must haves 2-3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including network administrator, incident responder, or penetration tester roles. Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, including SIEM (Splunk), IDS/IPS, Elastic Stack (Kibana), and malware analysis tools (e.g., Ghidra). Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Fluent in English, as classes and company communication will be conducted in English. Demonstrates a can-do attitude and takes initiative to address challenges effectively. Demonstrates self-awareness of strengths and areas for growth. Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage students. Organized, reliable, communicative, and open to feedback. Experience coaching, mentoring, or teaching others, with a passion for developing future cybersecurity professionals.
