Critical Facilities Maintenance Technician (m/w/d) - Data Centre

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive team member for our Frankfurt Critical facilities, FR9. Your role will involve semi-routine maintenance and repairs, coordinating with vendors, supporting site administration, completing work orders, and collaborating on infrastructure projects. You will also assist senior staff, ensure vendor compliance, and manage inventory needs.
Responsibilities
1. Facility Maintenance: Perform moderately difficult preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems, including plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems. Monitor Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolve alarm issues.
2. Repairs and Inspections: Conduct difficult repairs, installations, and on-site inspections of facility components. Support energy efficiency measures.
3. Vendor Support: Manage work approval processes for service providers, ensure maintenance activities follow standard procedures, and update technical files with vendors.
4. Site Administration: Maintain site logs for permits (e.g., MOPs), identify Single Points of Failure (SPOFs), and respond to on-site incidents, including failures and delays, support with Health and Safety and Compliance Audits.
5. Work Orders and Projects: Complete routine work requests, troubleshoot and maintain office equipment, make minor changes to mechanical/electrical systems, and carry out infrastructure projects.
6. Incident Response: Respond to all difficult on-site incidents, using substantial understanding of operating procedures to support site administration.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to resolve facility incidents, mentor on general maintenance activities, and provide inventory needs for critical parts and equipment.
8. Supervision and Guidance: Operate critical infrastructures under senior technical staff supervision, normally receive little instruction on daily tasks, and general guidance on new assignments.
Requirements
9. Language Skills: Professional Proficiency in English and German
10. Educational Background: Completed vocational training as an electrician / electronics technician / energy electronics technician / refrigeration and air conditioning technician or equivalent
11. Experience: Broad knowledge of critical infrastructure like UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems and hands-on infrastructure maintenance
12. Customer Service: A self-motivated and flexible individual who communicates clearly with customers.
13. Shift work : Willingness to work 24/7 shifts
