The Opportunity
Join CSL Innovation´s Recombinant Process Development team. We seek an enthusiastic, goal-oriented, collaborative, and innovative candidate to provide scientific expertise and leadership for our downstream process development team. As a Senior Manager joining the Recombinant Process Development team within Biopharmaceutical Product Development (BPD), you will be responsible for recombinant protein purification process development activities for a variety of therapeutic candidates. You will report to the Director Process Development.
The Role
1. Your main responsibility will be heading the recombinant downstream process development team. You will provide technical expertise and leadership to the assigned team members.
2. With your team you will design and develop state-of-the-art purification processes for recombinant proteins, including the technology transfer from product development to GMP manufacturing.
3. You will provide high level scientific expertise and guidance in the field of protein purification development applying a risk-based Quality by Design (QbD) approach.
4. You will be responsible for setting project objectives and implementing scientific and technical strategy.
5. You will gather information on new technology in the field of protein purification and drive exploration and implementation of innovative technology.
Your Skills and Experience
6. Postgraduate degree (preferably MSc or PhD) and/or extensive experience in relevant discipline.
7. Minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience and/or equivalent experience in a relevant academic environment.
8. Relevant experience in downstream process development preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
9. Demonstrated ability in managing and contributing to highly effective teams.
10. Experience in project work and excellent communication skills (English language).
11. Experience in working in cross-functional, multicultural, and international teams.
