Lead Associate - Professional Services - Executive Search
We are pleased to represent our client, a growing manufacturer and distributor of non-mechanical plant and site safety equipment.
As a supplier to some of the largest construction companies in the world, the group offers a seamless service from end to end - using a more technically driven and modern approach to construction and site safety. Their footprint is expanding further, with sites already supporting England, Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands - the business is ready to grow their operations in Germany and France this year.
We need an ambitious leader to be the Operations & Depot Manager to support the setup and growth of the German operation within the Dusseldorf region. This person will be key for the European growth strategy, working across the counterparts in Europe to develop solid processes and procedures, offering a world-class service and taking the industry by storm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring that all deliveries are sent out to customers on-time and in full.
* Financial responsibility for the site, working within budgets and identifying opportunities for growth.
* Transport management from the business's fleet and external vehicles.
* Implementing solid processes to ensure accurate stock control - enabling product availability in the most cost-efficient way.
* Responsibility for site safety and security, setting up KPIs and ensuring they are reached.
* Utilising colleagues across Europe and the central functions to ensure that vehicle compliance and training are up to date at all times.
* Recruit, train and retain a high-performing team of operatives and drivers, managing absenteeism, performance, and any disciplinary issues.
* Maintain high standards of service and promote a culture of continuous improvement, growth, and safety.
To Be Successful:
* A natural commercial mindset with solid operational management experience.
* Knowledge of non-mechanical and site safety equipment is an advantage.
* Experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.
* Previously managed vehicle compliance and worked in a warehouse environment.
* Diplomatic communication style - the ability to influence at all levels.
* Demonstrable background in improving efficiencies and processes to support business growth.
* Strong IT skills - ERP software and full Microsoft package.
* Agile management - the ability to prioritise and be flexible to evolving targets.
* Business fluency in German & English.
* A forklift license is highly desirable.
* Previous experience supporting colleagues/peers across multiple locations is advantageous.

In return, €60,000 base salary plus package + bonus.
