Position Overview As a Therapy Development Manager, you are responsible for the clinical support and management of the Coronary Sinus Reducer therapy, which will include prospecting, and building relationships that will increase account revenue growth and customer satisfaction within the Reducer product line and your assigned geography. At Shockwave, we have a strong focus on clinical excellence, and we expect our teams to be seen by all healthcare professionals in their territory as a trusted partner, building excellent relationships through education and clinical support. You must have expert level knowledge in the refractory angina disease area. Working closely with the specialties Interventional Cardiology and general Cardiology, our employees must be flexible and able to manage their time effectively, whilst providing excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities - Develop an expert level knowledge of the Coronary Sinus Reducer and be recognized by customers as a product expert. - Exhibit an excellent knowledge of the wider disease area and take personal accountability for developing/maintaining product and disease area knowledge. - Provide high quality of clinical and technical support to help sites achieve procedural success and increased therapy adoption. - Educate customers to ensure that products are understood and used effectively. - Understand the clinical data and be able to translate that to physician/patient benefit, ensuring the Reducer is used appropriately. - Probe to understand and confirm customers' need, handle objections and gain commitment. - Respond to customer requests and resolve complaints in a prompt and effective manner and follow internal complaint policies. - Can work collaboratively with internal and external partners to facilitate access to new technologies. - Develop and maintain accurate account and territory records - Build and execute ambitious territory business plans. - Provide regular reports on progress to the National Sales Manager through weekly calls and the Quarterly Business Review process. To include detailed comments on product performance, current levels of adoption, customer feedback and actions taken/needed to meet company and personal objectives. - Assist the National Sales Manager in the development of quarterly forecasts and business goals for own territory. - Work collaboratively with the cross functional team at Shockwave including Marketing, Customer Service, Medical Affairs etc to ensure that customers receive the best possible experience. - Develop and maintain productive working relationships within the company - Contribute to the development of a strong team effort - Follow all applicable company policies and procedures to maintain a safe work and compliant working environment. - Provide detailed expense reports monthly. Qualifications - Proficient German required, additionally, basic business English is highly desired. - Experience in the medical device market is a must, in particular Interventional Cardiology. - Experience with clinical support in a cathlab setting is required. - Experience with general Cardiology is preferred. - Strong track record of commercial success. - Proven problem solver. - Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills. - Based in either on or close to territory and willingness to spend 90% in accounts. - Positive and enthusiastic team player.
