Description Summary: Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (YSG) is seeking a qualified Opponent Forces Maritime Operations Analyst to support the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) located in Bydgoszcz, Poland to conduct pre-deployment training activities for current theatres of operations and other exercises and training events (TEs) as assigned by NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT), The Joint Force Training Centre supports Warfare Development, contributing to concept development and maintenance of joint doctrine and standards while coordinating the integration of experimentation, capability development, and interoperability to improve NATO’s interoperability, capabilities, and operational effectiveness. The Training and Exercise Division (TREX) ensures the ability to deliver combined and joint training and exercises, mainly static and distributed as well as single- and multi-echelon, for tactical and operational level headquarters, staffs, and forces over the full spectrum of NATO operations, from Pre-Deployment Training for current operations, Corps and Army level exercise at the Operational level and Joint Force Command Level Exercises. The Exercise Planning Branch is responsible for the conduct of all phases of the NATO Exercise Planning Process (EP) at the Officer Directing the Exercise (ODE) level leading up to Execution (Phase III/B) for assigned NATO Command Structure (NCS) and NATO Force Structure (NFS) Exercises Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: Provides Maritime subject matter support and advise to JFTC Opposing Force (OPFOR) and to Scenario Teams during the exercise planning, especially during the development of (iteration specific) OPFOR Campaign Plans and during OPFOR workshops. Provides Maritime support to OPFOR team during exercise executions and/or executions of wargamings including maintaining the OPFOR Maritime Ops operational picture. Provides Maritime Subject Matter Expert (SME) expertise in support of MEL/MIL workshops. Identifies requirements for external Maritime SME in support of MEL/MIL Workshops and coordinates a formal sourcing of them. Distributes available Maritime expertise across MEL/MIL workshops’ syndicates, guides, coordinates, and controls Maritime SMEs’ MEL/MIL production. Supports the exercise’s MLI efforts. Provides Maritime component SME support to the exercise regarding MDO. Acting as a functional area expert on the contribution and integration of Maritime Operations in Joint Operational Planning and Command and Control. Providing advice on Maritime Ops issues in the context of Joint Operational Planning, Command and Control. Coordinating with and providing OPFOR Maritime Ops inputs to the JFTC Scenario Team during module development. Coordinates CAX requirements for the simulation of maritime-specific OPFOR locations, activities, and capabilities. Contributes to all EXCON activity. Coordinates OPFOR Maritime Ops with LOCON Response Cells. Coordinates OPFOR Maritime Ops with MEL/MIL Manager and Event Managers. Provides support to the Targeting Cell on BDA reporting. Prepares OPFOR Maritime Ops planning documents. Contributes to the production of OPFOR FRAGOs and Annexes. Contributes to dynamic scripting to enable the TA to achieve their TOs. Contributes to the development and maintenance of Division specific SOPs. Be well versed in current and emerging threat Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and technological capabilities and the NATO counter actions to these threats. Requirements Required Qualifications: National Staff Officers Course. 2 years function related experience and completed advanced vocational training. At least 3 years’ operational experience in Headquarters at naval task group level or above. Experience in exercise planning and execution. Experience in joint operational environments. Experience in NATO and Opponent Forces operating principles at tactical and operational level. Native English language speaker or individual presenting very good command of spoken and written English, with a proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at the level of (SLP) NATO STANAG 6001 - 3333 (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing). Desired Qualifications: University Degree or Higher Secondary education. NATO INTEL Course. NATO Comprehensive Operations Planning Course (COPC). NATO Exercise Planning Course (EPC). Clearance: Must possess an active NATO or U.S. SECRET security clearance.
