Then come and join our global team as Head (f/m/d) of Research & Development (R&D) for Power and Vacuum Products within Technology Excellence (TE PV). In this role, you will manage a technology and product development portfolio for different medical applications like Angiography, Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Surgery, Urology and Mammography to provide innovative and reliable solutions for our partners. You will establish and implement a product development strategy aligned with our corporate goals, ensuring timely commercialization of competitive solutions tailored to key markets. Your tasks and responsibilities: You have global responsibility for R&D, including 5 departments (>180 employees) located in Forchheim, Germany. You define the optimal footprint and develop a cost-effective, high-quality development portfolio for R&D within Power & Vacuum Products in Germany (Forchheim & Rudolstadt) and in strong collaboration with our sites in China (Wuxi) and India (Bangalore). You foster an effective portfolio and obsolescence management together with the Business Lines & Customer Service along the entire product lifecycle. You lead technology and innovation activities for R&D globally and ensure competitiveness through benchmarking with direct competitors and comparable R&D centers. You foster cross-R&D collaboration and process harmonization, aligning with the management team. You actively contribute to the Hoshin Kanri target of Technology Excellence and execute initiatives to enhance Siemens Healthineers profitability and operational excellence. You will contribute to the overall success of our business unit by representing R&D in Siemens Healthineers TE PV management and interlinking PV R&D with other units to maximize strategic benefits. You foster a high-performing, diverse leadership team and drive employee engagement. You define and implement the R&D people strategy, foster employee capabilities, support them in their development and actively support your talent and succession pipeline within your organization. To find out more about the specific business, have a look at https://www.siemens-healthineers.com/products-services Your qualifications and experience: You have successfully completed a university degree in Engineering, Science, Management or comparable You have 10 years of experience in leading large R&D teams (including managing managers), preferably in the field of X-ray products and/ or systems You ideally have experience in project management of medical technology developments You have in depth knowledge of X-Ray-Tubes, Generators and High-voltage-Technology You have a good understanding and long-term experience in target costing and cost-conscious development You have a long record track in managing global R&D teams across borders and actively work in an international network with suppliers You are a trained Lean Coach and have experience in agile development Your attributes and skills: You are fluent in German and English and able to operate in an international environment You demonstrate high standards of quality, excellent analytical skills, result-orientation and reliability, with a drive for continuous process improvement and entrepreneurial mindset You foster an inspiring and motivating culture that contributes to achieving desired results, while applying strong communication and interpersonal skills Your leadership approach is defined by transparency, the ability to inspire and motivate, cultural sensitivity, a focus on quality and results, and effective, respectful communication.
