The Sales Specialist Imaging at Molecular Devices is responsible for identifying customer needs and offering innovative solutions that advance scientific research while working in the company’s best interest to maximize opportunities, close deals effectively, and ensure strong commercial outcomes.
This position reports to the European Sales Director Imaging and is part of the commercial department, with the company’s subsidiary based in Munich, Germany. The role is remote and focused on covering the territory of Southern Germany and Austria.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Collaborate with a European team of experienced Imaging Sales Specialists and cross-functional Sales Colleagues to deliver innovative solutions to customers.
* Maintain accurate CRM (SFDC) records to support structured sales processes, forecasting, and reporting.
* Actively engage in weekly funnel reviews, marketing meetings, and timely submission of required reports.
* Contribute to the creation and upkeep of a comprehensive Territory Plan to drive strategic growth.
* Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
The essential requirements of the job include:
* BSc degree or higher, preferably in a life science area with a biology background or related.
* At least 3 years customer facing experience in Life sciences business within Academic or Government or Biotech or Pharma research laboratories, like direct sales, sales support, applications support, technical support, service or other customer facing role.
* A solid commercial acumen paired with the drive to support our customers’ research through cutting-edge solutions.
* Native German speaker or German language proficiency at B2/C1 level. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Practical experience in cellular biology, such as working with mammalian cell cultures
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
* Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
* ability to travel and work away from home, including occasional overnight trips to visit customers and international travel to collaborate with teams across Molecular Devices.
* On average 2-3 days per week with customer visits
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
* Manual or automated cellular microscopy by education or from previous job.
* Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce.com
