A Japanese global logistics company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their office based in Machelen.
The role will be responsible for customs, VAT, fixed assets, intercompany process and additional accounting tasks. This will be a role with varied responsibilities

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Tasks
• Closing of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General ledger administration
• Responsible for Customs administration
• Responsible for VAT administration
• Responsible for Fixed Assets administration
• Authorization of bank payments (together with second person)
• Responsible for Petty Cash of Amsterdam and recording of Petty Cash of the Amsterdam and Rotterdam Branch
External responsibilities (Clients and Partners)
• Investigating and solving (internal) disputes on Intercompany • Contact with Tax authorities
Internal Responsibilities (Local and Regional)
• On time payment or collecting from IC offices
• Check payments to and from our IC offices with our administration
• Clean (up to date) sub ledger AR and AP for IC offices
• On time registration of payments and receivables including IC offices in our administration
• Keep in contact with IC office by e-mail and telephone
• Book payments and receivables including IC offices in our administration
• Coaching of Junior Accounting Employees
IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Relevant degree
• 5 years plus experience working as an Accountant (preferably in the logistics industry)
• Experience in AR, AP, General ledger and VAT admin
• Fluent in English and French (Business level Dutch advantageous)
