Come join afantastic team! The Director of Germany Operations oversees alloptics manufacturing and assembly activities at the Wetzlar andMannheim facilities. Reporting directly to the VP of GlobalOperations, this role is pivotal in driving productivityimprovements, advancing automation, and enhancing inventoryperformance through collaboration with global teams. Join us intransforming our operations and driving excellence in manufacturingprocesses andproductivity.
YOURRESPONSIBILITIES
* OperationsLeadership & Strategy: Manage budgets, plans,and performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, andcost targets. Drive total cost improvements and key metrics such asOn-Time Delivery (OTD), Working Capital Turns (WCT), andproductivity.
* LeadingGermany Optics Manufacturing and Assembly: Oversee alloptics manufacturing and assembly activities at the Wetzlar andMannheim facilities. Responsibility to bridge fragmented processesbetween the two sites to enhance collaboration and drive consistentcustomerdelivery.
* TransformingWetzlar Factory: Prepare the Wetzlar Factory forfuture production technologies, ensuring best-qualitysub-assemblies and products at competitive costs. Collaborate withthe global technology team to introduce innovativetechnologies.
* PeopleDevelopment & Management: Recruit, lead, anddevelop a high-performing team. Provide coaching and build a talentpipeline with a strong emphasis on Leanprinciples.
* DanaherBusiness Systems (DBS): Utilize and drive Leanprinciples and DBS tools to achieve business objectives. Implementkaizen plans and root-cause countermeasures to improve build/shiplinearity, Lean Conversion, Daily Management, and KPIobjectives.
YOURPROFILE
* ABachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a technical disciplinee.g. Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Optics Engineering, or arelatedfield.
* 10+years of hands-on experience in operations leadership within amanufacturingenvironment.
* Exceptionalskills in transformation and changemanagement.
* Aproven history of delivering outstanding operations results, with afocus on inventory turns and on-timedelivery.
* Experiencein leading, developing, and deploying organizational structuresthat foster a high-performance culture and promote cross-functionalcollaboration.
* Proficiencyin implementing and sustaining lean principles and a continuousimprovement culture in production/assemblysettings.
* Ademonstrated ability to drive a culture of accountability, urgency,and agility to meet dynamic businessneeds.
* Strongquality improvement skills, creating effective processes andcontrols.
* Fluentin German andEnglish.
