IT Infrastructure Specialist (m/f/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, maintain, and upgrade IT infrastructure across multiple geographic locations.
Assist in designing and planning IT infrastructure and applications.
Ensure all relevant hardware is maintained at the required patch levels.
Plan and manage capacity, availability, and system performance.
Oversee infrastructure lifecycle management, including maintenance, patching, updates, and upgrades across multiple systems and platforms.
Manage the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for servers, end users, and equipment, including patch and software management.
Coordinate and administer backup schedules, ensuring all systems are backed up and recovery procedures are documented and tested.
Deploy, manage, and maintain hardware/software to ensure compliance with company security practices.
Develop and maintain documentation, including system builds, configurations, and best practices.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and resolution of user and technical issues.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.
Adhere to established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of networking concepts, including SD-WAN.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant experience.
3–5 years of experience in IT deployment and operations.
Experience working with the following technologies in a multi-site commercial environment:
* Microsoft Server (2016–2025), including all core services.
* HP Blade and SAN administration and design.
* PureStorage administration.
* Fortinet deployment and firewall configuration.
* Hyper-V, clustering, and VMware configuration/administration.
* Unified communications (VoIP, Skype for Business, video conferencing, etc.).
* Azure and Office 365 administration.
* Microsoft Server certification (MCSE, MCSA).
* ITIL Service Operations Certificate, MCP, MCSA, or MCS.
Proven experience in IT architecture, documentation, migrations, implementations, administration, upgrades, and troubleshooting within a multi-site commercial environment.
Experience with Service Desk platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) is preferred.
Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with end users and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure within tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
Willingness to work outside regular business hours and participate in an on-call rotation within the infrastructure team as needed.
