The Procurement/Purchasing Manager purchases materials, products and supplies to meet manufacturing needs and to support the Sales cost estimation process. This position manages multiple suppliers to maximize business effectiveness. Your Responsibilities Will Be: Purchases key products (major equipment, subcontracted fabrication of vessels, piping assemblies, structural steel skids, instruments/controls, valves, sheet metal, flanges, etc.) to support sales cost estimation and project execution. Verifies & establishes inventory levels to ensure accuracy of materials and parts for production. Provide costing to sales and Applications Engineering Reviews vendor PO completion to assure compliance with CECO commitments to customers. Monitors vendor schedules to maximize on-time deliveries to ensure that required schedules are being met. Maintains cost history of various products and components to support efficient retrieval of costs in support of the Sales proposal process. Develops costing tools based on historical costs. Maintains supply chain database to assure available qualified support to meet business needs. Works with Quality staff to manage qualification of supplier. Reconciles change orders with vendors. Supports CECO Project Managers to align/approve vendor payments. Analyzes markets and suppliers to assess present and future material availability and cost trends. Resolves vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, business or a related field and at least 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
