This position requires an executive with deep experience in financial principles and business strategy development with the ability to navigate the requirements of a complex organization. The incumbent will be involved in 'hands on' business and change management activities while providing leadership, direction and focus to OTT HydroMet. The incumbent must be able to work as an effective business partner with the OTT HydroMet President and leadership team and drive synergies / efficiencies across the organization and have proven experiences in a large international public company. The CFO is an active participant in senior management commercial strategy planning, financial planning and results, and is charged with providing concise, accurate, timely analysis of the key business trends and financial metrics reporting/analysis. This position has the overall responsibility for the monitoring and reporting of the financial position of OTT HydroMet and provides clear interpretation of the results to effectively drive meaningful improvements and ensure that all reports are accurate and timely. Accountabilities Data and Systems - Ownership of development and improvement of core financial systems (ERP) necessary for timely and accurate reporting of OTT HydroMet financials - Partner with Commercial leadership/Operations to develop financial reporting that drives insights and timely decision making - Provide strategy for financial data that eliminates waste in reporting and streamlines financial analysis Financial Analysis/Management Support - Work closely with the President and functional leaders in conducting detailed financial and business analyses to identify potential problems, determine root causes and recommend appropriate solutions - Develop and maintain forecasting processes that accurately predicts future performance and motivate actions to insure it hits agreed upon target - Assist OTT HydroMet's financial portion of the strategic planning process, ensure that results from initiative are properly scoped, presented, tracked, and reported - Generate the annual financial budget for OTT HydroMet - Submission of accurate financial statements that are compliance with US GAAP and Veralto accounting practices - Drive the use of the Veralto Enterprise System (VES) and continuous improvement within the Finance Organization Internal Control Systems - Develop and maintain appropriate internal controls across all global operations - Achieve satisfactory financial audit results by external and internal auditors - Eliminate breaches of internal controls and ensure global compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley People Development/Process Improvement - Develop financial personnel to grow professionally, ensuring sufficient opportunities are created to enable career development within OTT HydroMet, Water Quality and across Veralto - Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the leadership team as well as with Veralto Finance and executive teams globally - Continuously improve transactional and closing processes from a time, accuracy and productivity perspective Working Capital Reduction - Provide leadership, direction and processes to OTT HydroMet and the Finance team to drive significant WC improvements (DSO, DPO, Inventory Turns) - Monitor WC improvement results and, where appropriate, ensure that effective countermeasures are developed and implemented Financial Reporting - Accurate and timely consolidation of OTT HydroMet financials - Accurate and timely coordination of all OTT HydroMet forecasts - Minimize surprises through effective prevention and early communications Acquisitions - Assist in the financial evaluation of potential acquisition targets - Lead financial due diligence for target acquisitions - Lead the integration process for "back office" functions Ability to travel domestically and internationally 30% -40% of the time Competencies - Results oriented -has track record for delivering results, takes ownership and is accountable - Must have had full P&L financial ownership experience with responsibility for all financial functions - Possesses strong business acumen and learning agility - Consistently uses sound judgment and possesses high integrity and ethics - Has a high degree of humility and self-awareness - Possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and understand the implications their actions and the Finance function will have on the organizational demands of a rapidly evolving company - Quick thinker with good judgment and decisiveness. - Is trusted by associates at all levels and operates with a high degree of transparency - Is approachable by his/her associates and is willing to listen to thoughts and suggestions and to consider other approaches - Can move strategy to action and lead in a global environment - Listens and responds to customer needs with a high sense of urgency - Champions continuous improvement, can work across boundaries and has a "Go to Gemba" mentality - Relentlessly attracts, engages and develops people and can aspire this in others - Builds strong, effective and diverse teams - Creates followership through collaboration - Proven ability to flourish in a lean, hand on, practical environment - Able to dig into the details as needed while focusing on the key strategic priorities - German language is a plus Educations and Experiences - BS or BA Degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA Degree and/or CPA are preferred - Substantial operational experience in increasingly responsible financial leadership positions leading to the CFO or Finance leader position in a complex, global enterprise - Experience for full financial ownership of at least a $150M P&L - Significant international experience is required along with a strong global business perspective while functioning in a multinational organization with multiple business units. - Experience in the financial aspects of acquisitions and divestitures, including due diligence and post post-merger integration.
