Job Title: Category Manager – Structures & Interiors
Location: Weßling (On-site work required; one day per week remote possible)

Your Role and Team:
You will report directly to the Head of Procurement Structures & Interiors. The Category Management Team is responsible for sourcing, contracting, and managing supplier relationships. You will be part of an interdisciplinary Integrated Project Team (IPT) responsible for the design, manufacture, and delivery of the Aircraft Structure, Interiors, Landing Gear System, Electrical Wiring Interconnection System, and several other systems and commodities for our Jet, from prototype to serial production.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
· Contribute to a multi-functional team shaping and leading the supply chain for the Structure and Interiors parts within the aircraft.
· Support the Procurement Strategy and Policies aligned with the overall company strategy.
· Lead the Sourcing Process, including Market Assessment, Supplier Identification, Supplier Selection, and Contracting (e.g., Call for Tender, Supplier Selection Processes, Negotiations).
· Collaborate closely with Production, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Program teams during development projects.
· Manage a global network of aircraft suppliers to foster best practices and ensure a continuous flow of external innovations.
· Ensure plant deliveries meet safety, time, cost, and quality targets with the support of the Supply Chain Operations team.
· Lead large-scale supplier sourcing projects, taking end-to-end responsibility from initial analysis to ramp-up and stable performance.
· Maintain a high level of responsiveness and real-time work behaviour.
Requirements
Your Profile:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant technical field.
· A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Procurement and Supplier Management.
· Contracting experience within the aerospace or automotive sectors is essential.
· Familiarity with SupplyOn and/or INFOR systems is highly desirable.
· Excellent analytical and evaluation skills, with a proactive approach to challenging the status quo.
· A strategic thinker with strong technical skills, sound judgement, and a keen operational focus.
· Proactive, open, and direct communicator, able to engage comfortably and credibly at all levels within the organisation.
· Strong personal influencing and negotiation skills.
· Fluent in English.
